Description

Get the big picture with an OnStar® rear view mirror with 4.3" backup camera display that activates when you shift into reverse. You'll lose none of your mirror or vehicle's existing features while gaining an important safety feature found in many of today's well-equipped vehicles.

Perhaps you've seen this helpful new technology in a friend's new car or truck. You loved how it works. The rear view mirror looks like a normal mirror until you put the car in reverse and then a crisp panoramic picture of what's behind your vehicle pops up on your mirror. You no doubt appreciated the new peace of mind and added degree of safety when backing up.

Mirror will replace your factory OnStar® mirror with no loss of functionality. Harness is included for temp probe and video for the camera connection. This high quality OE style mirror comes with a universal harness that lets you connect it to any standard aftermarket camera, including any of our GM® cameras, which are available separately or as a bundle with this mirror (see our online catalog). The outline of the hidden 4.3" monitor is completely invisible until you put your car in reverse, unlike many less advanced systems available in the aftermarket. Professional installation is recommended.

Compatibility

This OE style replacement rear view mirror with backup camera monitor is compatible with all GM® vehicles with OnStar® emergency system buttons built into the mirror.

Installation

Installation is estimated between 30-45 minutes. A "do-it-yourself" installation is estimated between 45-60 minutes. This does not include the time necessary to install a camera. Professional installation is recommended.

Remove your factory mirror from the windshield and replace with this OnStar® replacement mirror.

Temperature sensor and harness is included and will need to be mounted in front of vehicle grille and wire run into the cab to plug into the mirror. If your vehicle has a factory temperature sensor it will need to be replaced with the included sensor.

The mirror comes with the necessary harness to retain the OnStar® feature and power/video harness to connect to the factory wiring and camera wiring.

You will need to locate a 12 volt accessory power source, reverse power source, and ground for installing the camera and mirror.

Question & Answers

Q: Will this mirror work on my 2010 Cadillac SRX/ CTS /Camaro with the right angle connector?

A: Yes, you just need to detach the connector housing. Contact us and we will supply instructions.

Q: After installed the picture comes on for a split second and then disappears.

A: Check your camera connection, your camera must turn on instantly or already be on when the vehicle is shifted into reverse. If the mirror does not see an image fast enough it assumes that the camera is not present and so it turns off. (We recommend connecting the camera to ignition)
