NOTE: For power locking tailgate models. Your truck must be prewired for rear camera or this kit will not work. Please see the compatibility tab for more information! This is an affordable PLUG AND PLAY OEM camera solution for your 2016 GM® truck with power locking tailgate and an 8" radio display screen! This will fit as a direct factory replacement handle with pre-mounted OEM camera and does not require radio removal to install! The camera simply plugs into the factory connector at the rear of the truck and installs in minutes! The kit also comes with the radio programmer tool so you can turn on the camera function quickly and easily- without having to go to a dealer!

- OBD2 Programming module for 8" factory radio screens(see compatibility tab for details on how to confirm that your vehicle is compatible)
- Factory OEM GM® tailgate handle with camera premounted - black textured surface with light/keyhole
- Factory rear tailgate harness - plug and play. Uses the connector behind the rear bumper under the truck and plugs right in but you must be prewired! This kit is for trucks that have the locking tailgate option from the factory

This is a direct replacement for your factory tailgate handle and is plug and play with the factory wiring at the rear of the truck. The flashing module will allow you to quickly enable the rear camera program on your factory radio without any dealer intervention! No need to remove the radio as the programmer goes into your OBDII port for quick and simple activation.
SImply install the OEM rear tailgate handle from this kit in place of your existing handle, route the harness through the bottom of the tailgate and plug it into the factory harness. Next plug the OBD programmer into your truck's OBDII port under the steering column to program the radio. You will not need to remove the radio or screen from your dash, which makes this kit simple to install! No dealer programming required!
Q: Can the OBD programmer be used on more than one vehicle?
A: No, the programmer is VIN locked to your vehicle after one use. After you've programmed your factory radio it is recommended that you store the programmer in the glovebox just in case programming is ever lost due to vehicle servicing, etc.
