2008-14 F150 Flex Plug & Play Replacement Camera Module
Did your tailgate get stolen? Does your factory camera no longer function? Are you looking for an affordable alternative to a factory camera for collision repair? This is your kit!
This camera is a high quality aftermarket replacement to Ford part number BL3Z-19G490-B, or 9L3Z-19G490-C. This camera module will fit in your factory tailgate emblem housing and plug into the factory harness, just like a factory camera would. This camera uses a Super CMOS sensor so the picture quality is crisp, clear, and colorful just like your factory camera was! In fact, we even replicated the factory parking guidelines so you can continue to utilize that feature for added safety and convenience.
You can also purchase this kit with a replacement tailgate emblem or with the entire housing/emblem assembly in case yours was damaged or stolen. NOTE: HOUSING IN PHOTO IS NOT INCLUDED UNLESS YOU CHOOSE HOUSING OPTION ABOVE.
NOTE about the options above: if you are replacing a burned out camera you will need the emblem as the original will be damaged when you remove it to gain access to the camera. If your tailgate was stolen you will need the housing and the emblem. In this case the camera will be pre-mounted in the housing for you. This kit comes with the following components:
- Camera Source Super CMOS camera module designed to fit the factory Ford housing and plugs into existing factory Ford harness
- Optional - complete OEM Ford housing assembly (if this option is Selected the camera will be pre-mounted)

2008-2014 F series trucks with factory backup camera in the emblem. This kit will not work on trucks that did not come from the factory with a backup camera.
In mid 2013 (approximately May of 2013) Ford did an update on the housing and emblem design so that the emblem can be removed without breaking it. In addition the new emblem has less tendency to fade like the original one did. That being said if you have a mid year 2013 or older we recommend getting the entire housing/emblem assembly so that the new camera fits tight and everything goes together as it should.
To confirm you will need to check the driver's side door tag for your vehicle manufacture date. If that date is May of 2013 or really close it will be hard to tell which style of emblem and housing you have. In this scenario you may want to remove your emblem to determine if the mounting is the pin style(new) or s-hook style(old).
If you are ordering just the camera and emblem, and you have determined that you have the old mounting style emblem, select 2011-2012 for your model year to ensure you receive the old style emblem. Or simply select the emblem and housing option to receive the newest version of both.
Simply remove the old Ford emblem from your tailgate by gently prying the emblem from the base. Remove the two screws holding the base to the tailgate and it will expose the screws holding the factory camera in place. Disconnect the wire harness under the bumper and remove the camera from the housing, pulling the wire from the tailgate. Drop the new wire through the tailgate and install the camera in reverse order from the way it was removed. Plug the camera into the factory harness and screw the housing back on the tailgate. Once the camera has been tested replace the factory emblem... SIMPLE!
NOTE: If you have a mid 2013 or older you will likely break the tabs on the emblem when removing it. See the compatibility tab in this product page to learn about housing and emblem replacement.
